Text Diff Checker
Compare two texts line by line and see every addition and deletion highlighted.
Our text diff checker compares two versions of a text line by line and highlights what was added, removed or left unchanged. Writers compare drafts, developers review config changes, and editors verify revisions without reading both versions word by word. Added lines appear green, removed lines appear red with strikethrough, and matching lines stay grey.
Green = added lines, red = removed lines, grey = unchanged lines.
The comparison will appear here.

Text Diff Checker โ FAQs
Is the text diff checker free?
Yes, it is completely free with no signup, no account and no limits. Compare as many pairs of texts as you like. Every feature is available to every visitor and there are no premium tiers.
Are my texts private?
Yes. The comparison runs entirely in your browser, so neither version ever leaves your device. We do not upload, store or analyze your texts on any server, which makes the tool safe for contracts, code and confidential drafts.
How does the comparison work?
The tool splits both texts into lines and matches them up to find the longest shared sequence. Lines that appear only in the new text are marked as added, lines that appear only in the original are marked as removed, and matching lines are shown as unchanged.
What if my texts are very long?
For extremely long documents the comparison may become too heavy for the browser, and the tool will ask you to compare smaller sections instead. Typical articles, essays and config files of a few thousand lines compare instantly without any problem.
