Color Blender
Mix two colors with a live ratio slider and see the blended result instantly — with HEX and RGB values ready to copy.
The Color Blender mixes any two colors at whatever ratio you choose. Pick color A and color B, drag the slider from 0 to 100 percent, and watch the blended swatch update in real time along with its exact HEX and RGB values. It is ideal for creating hover states, gradient midpoints, tint scales and smooth transitions between brand colors.
How to use the Color Blender
- Pick your two colors, A and B, with the color pickers at the top of the tool.
- Drag the blend ratio slider to set how much of each color goes into the mix.
- Copy the resulting HEX or RGB value with the copy buttons and use it in your design.
Color Blender — FAQs
How is the blended color calculated?
The tool averages the red, green and blue channels of both colors, weighted by your slider position. At 50 percent you get a perfect even mix; at 25 percent the result is three-quarters color A and one-quarter color B. The math is linear in RGB space, which matches how most design tools blend two solid colors.
What can I use color blending for?
Blending is the quickest way to build tint scales — mix your brand color with white in 10 percent steps for a full palette. It also creates natural hover states (blend a button color slightly toward black), smooth gradient midpoints and harmonious transitions between two brand colors in illustrations and charts.
Why does my blend look different from Photoshop?
Professional tools sometimes blend in perceptual or LAB color space, which preserves brightness differently than plain RGB averaging. For most web and UI work the difference is subtle, and RGB blending matches what CSS gradients do between the same two stops — so your blend will look consistent on the web.
Are my blended colors uploaded anywhere?
No. The blending calculation runs locally in your browser, so your colors never leave your device. There is no account, no saved mixes and no tracking — close the tab and everything is gone without a trace.
